BMW Unveils Special ‘M1000 RR 50 Years M’ To Celebrate 50 Years of ‘M’ Division

BMW M1000 RR 50 Years M is special limited run model which can only be booked for 4 months… Will ask heavy premium over standard price…

So, BMW Motorrad is celebrating 50 years of their ‘M’ Division and to commemorate it,  they have revealed the M1000 RR’s special limited run model ‘M1000 RR 50 Years M’.

BMW Motorrad Special Edition ‘M1000 RR 50 Years M’

The celebratory BMW M1000 RR 50 Years M superbike is draped in ‘Sao Paulo Yellow’ colour giving it a special & unique glittering desirability.

Other than the special colour, the bodywork and design remains largely the same. The mean looking dual LED headlights, the wide and symmetrical carbon fibre winglets, the full fairing, the broad & muscular tank all are similar to the ‘standard’ M1000 RR superbike.

Yet, making it special and like no other bike ever is the addition of ‘Competition package’ as standard on this Special edition bike. The special performance package unlocks the special onboard GPS data module, adds a lighter aluminium swingarm and switches standard parts with carbon fibre one to provide better functionality.

That’s not all, the M1000 RR 50 Years M comes with manually adjustable Marzocchi suspension, same as the standard model M1000 RR superbike. Just like the standard model, the 999 cc, liquid-cooled, inline-4 engine produces a mouth-watering 210 BHP and 113 NM of torque equipped with a seamless 6-speed transmission aided by a Quickshifter as standard.

However, it is disappointing to learn that such a limited special celebratory model doesn’t get semi-active suspension at all. Maybe BMW wanted the bike to be as close to fundamentals as possible so that this beast could be pushed to its limit on a track based purely on rider’s skill and nothing else.

Finally, let’s talk about availability and price. The special BMW M1000 RR 50 Years M can only be booked between 21st of May and 30th of November 2022. And for the price, we expect the special edition M1000 RR to charge a hefty premium over the standard asking price of nearly Rs. 46.63 Lakh.
