BMW Motorrad has announced the launch of new R 1250 range in India which includes the roadster R1250 R and the tourer R1250 RT. Both the motorcycles continue to arrive in India via the expensive CBU (Completely Built-up Units) route.
Both the models sport a new 1254 cc in-line, dual-cylinder engine which produces 136 hp of power at 7,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 143 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the top speed is claimed to be higher than 200 km/hr. They are also equipped with BMW’s ShiftCam technology which provides better fuel efficiency and an increase in power and refinement to the engine.

The naked sportster features a big 6.5 inch TFT colour screen with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation, telephony and music. BMW Motorrad multi-controller allows you to quick access to the vehicle and shows all the information of the bike on the screen. The bike is designed with front fender, engine cowl, tank side trims and model embossing on pillion seat.
BMW R1250 RT
The cockpit of this fully faired tourer consists of an analogue speedometer with 5.7 inch TFT screen. Paired with two mini speakers, the screen can be used for navigation, music and picking up phone calls. The bike comes with ample of features like Seat Heating, key-less ride, Electronic Suspension Adjustment, tyre pressure control, anti-theft alarm system. In addition to this it comes with DRLs, golden brake callipers and Chrome-plated exhaust.
Both the bikes share features like Hill-Start Control, Automatic Stability Control, customizable riding modes (there are two of them) and dual channel ABS.

The R 1250 R will be available in Black Storm metallic Paint Scheme. On the other hand, the R 1250 RT will be on offer in Blue Planet metallic and Sparkling Storm metallic shades.
