Benelli has had a very active 2021 in India. Over the period of last 11-months, Benelli has launched nearly six motorcycles – TRX 502 Adventure-Tourer, Leoncino 500 scrambler, TRK 502X ADV, 502C sports cruiser and the most affordable & popular Imperiale 400 classic.

And in a latest update, Benelli has confirmed its TRK 251 for the Indian market. This will be the last launch from the company for this year.

Benelli has teased the upcoming Benelli TRK 251 with a video, pics on its social channels. With the 251, Benelli is targeting the high-demand entry-level adventure motorcycle segment in India which is fast gaining a lot of attention. It will primarily rival the KTM 250 Adventure here.

The Benelli TRK 251 is powered by a 250 cc, liquid-cooled motor putting out 26 PS at 9,250 RPM and 21 Nm of torque at 8,000 RPM which is paired to a 6-speed transmission.

The Benelli TRK 251 is clearly inspired by the bigger sibling TRK 502 and utilizes a similar steel tube trellis frame. It runs on 17” spoked-alloys and gets 41 mm upside-down forks at the front and 51 mm single-shock at the rear. Braking occurs through a 280 mm single floating disc with 4-piston caliper at the front and 240 mm disc single-piston arrangement at the rear.

The bike sports wide handlebars for better control, full digital instrumentation cluster, split seat configuration with long rear-pillion grab-handles, LED head and tail lamps, dual front fenders and a tall windshield for better wind protection.

Benelli understands that good pricing is a key element to any bike’s success in India and it will be interesting to see how aggressive does it go. Let us hope the TRK 251 is priced under that Rs 2.50 Lakh mark to present itself as a worthy alternate in the segment.

Benelli has opened bookings of the motorcycle at a pre-payment of Rs 6000. TRK251 launch can be expected anytime soon with deliveries commencing from next month onwards.
