With the official launch of Benelli motorcycles in India bike enthusiasts in the country have another brand to drool over and save the money for! At the recent Pune dealership inauguration we got a chance to talk to the management of DSK Motowheels, Benelli’s official partner in India and we got to know a few interesting things. Here are some quick pointers which we have chalked down for you…
DSK Benelli Future Plans for India
- The three motorcycles which Benelli had announced for the Indian market at the India Bike Week – the TNT 25, Blackster 250 cruiser and Trek Amazonas, will be launched after at least three months, hopefully before the festive season. So, if you have been waiting for them, expect their launch only after June!
- The first phase of dealerships will include 9 dealerships while the second phase will see expansion into tier two and tier three cities which will include 11 outlets.
- The company will be inaugurating a dealership in Calcutta in the first week of April. Interestingly this is the first international motorcycle manufacturer in India which is giving importance to the old British capital and opening up a shop there so soon to cater to not just Calcutta but the Eastern part of the country.
- Benelli does not want to just sell motorcycles. They aim to popularise the entire concept of motorcycling. They have plans to open a racing school in the future, which will definitely help in making us better riders.
