Bajaj sales May 2022 – Numbers suffered because of supply chain issues… Domestic sales grew while Exports dropped YoY…
Bajaj Auto have released their sales figures for the month of May 2022. The Domestic sales showed a positive trend for the previous month, while the Exports showed a declining trend when compared with the previous year.
The company registered Gross Sales of 2.75 lac units of two-wheelers in the month of May 2022. This equates to a rise of over 1% against 2,71,862 units sold in April 2021.

Year-over-Year Sales
The Domestic Sales registered 96,102 units in the month of May 2022. It is a rise of 59% from 60,342 units sold in May of 2021.
The Exports, conversely, are in the red, registering 1.53 Lac units in May 2022, compared to 1.80 Lac units registered in May last year. It is a decline of almost 15 percent.

Month-over-Month Sales
For MoM sales, the Domestic sales grew while the Exports declined.
The Domestic Sales grew by 3.10%, from 93,233 units sold in April 2022.
Conversely, the Exports contracted by 18.61%, compared to 1,88,478 units exported in April 2022.
The Gross Sales followed the similar trend as the Exports and declined by 11.43% compared MoM.
Year-to-Date Sales
Comparing the combined sales of April and May months for the present year and the previous year, we see that again the Domestic sales rose slightly while the Exports declined.
The Domestic sales grew by 1.30%, rising from 1,86,912 registered in the previous month to 1,89,335 units sold combined for the two months of the present year.
The Exports dropped from 4,01,815 registered in the previous year to 3,41,875 units for the same two months of this year, which equates to a fall of 15%.
In total, Gross sales dropped by 9.77%, falling from 5,88,727 units to 5,31,210 units registered in the Months of April & May this year.
