Bajaj has pulled a fast one here! Back in March this year, they launched the much awaited Pulsar RS200 only in yellow and red color tones. They missed out on at least two color themes which were spotted earlier – Black with Golden and Blue with white. Going by this it was always expected that Bajaj will spruce up things by adding one or more of these colors to the palette and they have just done that…
They have brought out a new ‘Demon Black’ color for their first fully faired bike, the Pulsar RS 200 taking the total tally of (color) offerings to three. For all of you who, like us, are suckers of black, here comes your motorcycle, draped in black livery with a tinge of ‘red’ (and yes there is no golden). While the RS 200 was a head turner even in the original red and yellow paint schemes, we have come across a lot of folks who felt that both these are a little too snazzy and a toned down version specially in the largest selling color theme should do just good.
The font section, inspired from the bumble bee, looks evil and fearsome in black and takes the level of aggression to a new high. The Race Sport bike in black also looks way better with elusive edges when one looks at the side profile.
The mechanicals remain the same with the 199.5 cc liquid cooled fuel injected mill producing 24.5 PS of maximum power at 9,750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. It appears that the Demon Black RS200 has been shipped only to a handful of cities as of now.

The black RS 200 is expected to carry the same price tag as that of the standard colour options, which begins at Rs 1.18 lakhs for the non-ABS variant and Rs 1.30 lakhs for the ABS variant (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi), however a confirmation on this is pending.
