Bajaj and Pulsar are two names in the Indian motorcycle industry which have been synonymous with the concept of democratizing performance motorcycling. After launching their flagship RS200 last month, Bajaj, in an official communication, has invited the media on 14th April, which they say is the launch of ‘new Pulsar Range’. The event will take place in Delhi and we will be reporting live from the venue.
But between so many upcoming Pulsars which motorcycle(s) is Bajaj planning to launch? They have used the words ‘new Pulsar Range’ which hints at the introduction of the Adventure Sport variants of Pulsars. The first of which is expected to be the AS200, which has also been spotted at a dealership recently and has also gone into series production with the RS200!
The Pulsar AS200 will get the same 199.5 cc triple spark engine from the RS200, however, in all probability it will miss out on fuel injection and that extra horsepower. The carburetted motorcycle is also expected NOT to get ABS even as an option. And hence, we hope Bajaj launches it at a very aggressive price tag. We will not mind something in the region of Rs 99,000 ex-showroom!
Apart from this, going by the word ‘Range‘, Bajaj may also showcase/launch the smaller AS150, which is the Adventure Version of the upcoming next-generation 17PS Pulsar 150NS.
