We are just a few hours away from the launch of what could be a breakthrough in the 2-wheeler industry. Amidst this push towards a sustainable future, Indian government has been advising alternate fuels for mobility. Among them boring electric vehicles have found the highest prominence.
But aside that Bajaj believes it can extend the life of ICE motorcycles and in this very bid, it has found CNG as a good alternate. So, for the first time ever, possibly in the world, we will get to see a CNG motorcycle. Codenamed as Bruzer, the Bajaj’s first ever CNG motorcycle will be called as Freedom 125. This was leaked through the official website which had ‘Freedom 125’ in one of the dropdowns. It has now been removed. ‘125’ is clearly the engine capacity of the motorcycle as we had anticipated.
Freedom was a motorcycle sold by LML around 2000s, however, now that the company is no more making ICE motorcycles, this name must have been available and Bajaj latched onto it. With this brand name it will definitely create some nice promo material that can be associated with the very concept of having such a product in the market – the freedom from rising fuel prices!

In a few teasers, Bajaj has also revealed some bits about its upcoming product. The most prominent among them was a pic of the switch that will enable moving from CNG to petrol, as and when desired. Yes, Freedom will have the ability to run on both the fuels.
Bajaj Freedom is one product almost every manufacturer in the commuter segment will be keenly watching. If everything goes as per plan, and the product syncs with the customer, it has the potential to disrupt the market and elongate the Internal Combustion Engine technology for a few more years.
