Ather took to twitter to debut TPMS as an accessory for their e-scooters… Planning to add 8 new retail locations in Kerala state…
Since their launch in 2018, Ather Energy have carved their own place as well as a great reputation in the electric scooter market. Where many big and small e-scooter manufacturers are struggling with issues of their own, Ather have been consistently offering premium features & experience along with maintaining safety and performance.Â
As their latest addition to their big list of features, Ather Energy have introduced Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as an optional accessory for their Ather 450 Plus & Ather 450 X electric scooters.
Ather Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Introduced for 450 Plus & 450 X
The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is a small device which sits either within the tyre of the vehicle, generally fixed to the rim, or replaces the valve stem through which the air is filled into the tyre. It is then wirelessly connected to a display which constantly displays the real-time tyre pressure of two/four wheels of the vehicle. If for some reason the air pressure in the tyres begins to drop, the device alerts the owner so as to avoid any mishaps due to loss of air pressure.Â

Ather Energy have introduced their own TPMS system as an accessory for their two electric scooters via their forum and social media handles. They have announced that any existing and new Ather electric scooter owners can opt for the TPMS system by paying Rs. 5,000/- for the pair. This TPMS device will be mounted on the rim of the wheel and will display real-time tyre pressure values on the scooters’ as well as riders’ smartphone displays.
The TPMS system will also alert the rider of dropping tyre pressure and/or a puncture so as to avoid any accidents or mishaps to happen due to change in handling behaviour of the scooter.
