Ather Energy has commercially launched its electric scooters in Chennai, its second city after Bangalore. Both the scooters 340 and 450 are on offer. The proceedings started with Ather offering early access test rides to its prospect customers last weekend, who also got to see the 450 prior to its launch. Ather also took 50 of its customers from Bangalore to share their ownership experience of the scoots.
Ather informs that they are sold out in Chennai till November. Deliveries of the first batch will commence from September onwards. However, they have opened bookings for the second batch for Chennaites, deliveries of which will be done later.
Also, for all Ather customers of 2019, the company will offer Ather One plan free. Ather One plan is an all inclusive bouquet of offerings which include free access to public and home charging, regular maintenance inclusive of consumables, breakdown assistance and unlimited data services. It is priced at Rs 700 (+ GST) per month.
Ather 450 Chennai Price
In Chennai, Ather 340 is priced at Rs 1,19,091 while the Ather 450 costs Rs 1,31,683. These prices are all inclusive which means they incorporate 2 helmets, FAME 2 subsidy, insurance, road tax and GST.
Along with this, Ather will also launch Ather Space at Wallace Garden, Nungambakkam on 24th July and people who are interested can walk down and take test rides of Ather’s scooters.

Aside all this, Ather is increasing production at its manufacturing plant which will bring down the waiting period of its vehicles in Bangalore as well as Chennai.
