Storm 125 price is aggressive and around the region of TVS Ntorq. It will come equipped with CBS as standard!
Aprilia showcased a sportier version of the SR125 at the Auto Expo last year. Dubbed as Storm 125, it was on display in two matte colours – red and yellow and both of them looked very attractive. In a latest update, its price has been leaked through a brochure shared by Autocar.
Storm 125 Price
Storm 125 will cost Rs 65,000 ex-showroom pan-India (except Kerala where the cost of helmet and stand is extra). According to the pamphlet, this is a ‘special launch price’ which means it could be introductory for the coming few months and it is significantly lower than SR125.
The funky scoot will be offered in three new colours – Matte yellow, matte red and matte black. It will be powered by the same 125cc 9.6PS/9.9 Nm, single cylinder engine of the SR125 but will be equipped with smaller 12 inch tyres. However, these smaller tyres are wider, knobby rubber – sizes – 120/80 front and 130/80 rear. The showcased models wore Vee Ruber tyres but the India-spec scooter is expected to get localised rubber, which will also be cheaper.
Storm 125 Launch
Storm 125 was scheduled for a launch earlier in 2018 but it has got delayed. However, it eventually will be launched within this month and bookings are expected to open anytime soon.
To adhere to the mandate, Storm 125 will come equipped with CBS (combined braking system) as standard. Expect a bigger 150cc version of the scooter in the times to come.
