Aprilia Storm 125 is the most affordable model of the company… Now it will only be available in drum brake variant costing 1 Lakh…
Piaggio India, parent company of Aprilia, have announced that they will be discontinuing the Disc-brake variant of their entry-level Aprilia Storm 125 from the Indian market. The particular model will not be offered effective 1st of July 2022.
This means from July, there will only be one variant on sale of the Aprilia Storm 125 – Drum brake option with Combined Braking System (CBS).
The Aprilia Storm 125 drum brake variant is currently offered at Rs. 1,00,666/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). The disc brake option was introduced during the period when BS-VI came into implementation in 2020. Sadly, the reason for the discontinuation of the disc variant has not been shared by the company.
The Aprilia Storm 125 is powered by 124.4 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which produces 9.78 HP and 9.6 Nm of torque which is connected to an automatic transmission. The Storm 125 is Aprilia’s most affordable model offered in our market.
Unique to this Aprilia scooter is the fitment of 12” alloy wheels that are covered with knobby Vee-rubber tyres. Other features include a twin-pod analogue instrumentation, apron-mounted headlights, telescopic front suspension, single-coil rear springs and previously mentioned CBS braking system.
The scooter is available in 5 colours – Red, White, Black, Yellow and Blue.
The Aprilia Storm 125 competes with the likes of TVS NTorq 125, Honda Grazia and Yamaha RayZR 125 in our market.
