All-New Hero Xpulse 421 Design Trademark Filed, India Launch in Early 2026

The leaked patent image reveals the overall design of the upcoming adventure bike from Hero as it is expected to make global debut by late 2025

Hero MotoCorp had teased the Xpulse 421 at the EICMA 2024 in Italy last month. Now, we have learnt that the home-grown automaker has filed the design trademark for it in India. The leaked image gives us a glimpse of Hero Xpulse 421 and its styling elements. The most powerful adventure bike from Hero is expected to debut in production-ready form by late 2025 while going on sale in early 2026 in the Indian market. It will directly rival Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure, TVS Apache RTX, and BMW F 450 GS.

The leaked design trademark reveals that the Xpulse 421 will be presented with a different design than the Xpulse 210. It will not have any commonalities with the Xpulse 200 either, at least in terms of styling. Hero Xpulse 421 will flaunt a flat LED headlamp with a large windscreen. It will be complemented by cladding which will also include massive radiator shrouds.

The design trademark further reveals the inclusion of handlebar guards, top-box rack and underbelly pan. The seat appears to be tapering towards the bulky fuel tank. Though the exhaust pipe is not visible in the leaked patent. However, from what we saw in the teaser at EICMA 2024, we can say that it will have an upswept position. Overall, the Xpulse 421 looks quite muscular in the trademark image and we believe that Hero might tone it down a bit aesthetically while including the saree guard as per the norms in India.

Underpinning a new trellis frame, it will boast of a coloured TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Some of the notable features on-board will be turn-by-turn navigation, multiple riding modes and dual-channel switchable ABS. It will be offered with USD front suspension while there will be a mono-shock unit at the rear.

The braking duties could be performed by a petal disc at front and a standard disc at the rear. The bike will ride on spoke wheels which will be shod with block pattern tyres. Though exact wheel size is not known yet, we expect the Xpulse 421 to get a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel.

Mechanically, Hero Xpulse will debut an all-new 421cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which is reported to churn out top power of 45 bhp and highest torque of 45 Nm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission.
