After RS200, Bajaj Increases Pulsar AS200 Price by Rs 2,000; AS150 Untouched

It was written! Bajaj surprised everyone when they launched the feature-loaded semi-faired Pulsar AS200, at prices which were Rs 3 cheaper than the naked sibling NS200! They, however, clearly announced that those prices were ‘introductory’ and here we are with the anticipated hike.

Bajaj has increased the prices of Pulsar AS200 by Rs 2,002, pulling the new ex-showroom Delhi prices to Rs 93,552. This marginal and very acceptable rise comes almost a month after the company increased the price of their flagship RS200’s by a similar amount (link to report). You would remember that Bajaj had launched the AS 200 back in April at an attractive sticker price of Rs 91,550.

Pulsar NS200 continues to be listed at Rs 91,553 ex-showroom, Delhi, however it is still not available in showrooms. Interestingly the Pulsar AS150, the other Adventure Sports motorcycle, which was launched along with the AS200, still continues with its launch price tag of Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bajaj has updated their website with the new prices.

Pulsar-AS200

The Pulsar AS200 is powered by the same 199.5 cc liquid cooled mill producing 23.5 PS at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm which does duty on other 200 cc Pulsars. Thanks to the fairing and visor, the AS200 is a more aerodynamic unit which translates to comfortable long rides at higher speeds.
