Camouflaged Pulsar 200AS Caught with MRF Tyres in Pune

Bajaj is taking their Pulsar brand to various international markets and fortunately or unfortunately, there is a feeling that they are also ignoring the domestic market at the same time. Nonetheless, apart from the other Pulsars we knew of, Bajaj surprised everyone by showcasing their Adventure Pulsar 200AS in India but only to the Indonesian enthusiasts/media.

Pulsar 200AS

The company has started testing it on our roads and one of our avid reader Arpit Varma spotted a test mule last night on the NH8 at Kamshet in Pune.

The first thing you can notice is that this 200AS sports MRF Nylogrip Zapper rear tyre which, as we have shared earlier, has already started making it to the naked Pulsar 200NS as well and its definitely a good news for all those who dislike Eurogrips, including us 🙂

Pulsar 200AS is based on the 200NS but carries a slightly different rear. It ditches the rear tyre hugger and gets a more conventional mudguard and a number plate assembly.

Apart from that, there is a possibility that 200AS may come with a higher front suspension travel to justify the ‘Adventure’ tag. It also gets a projector headlamp upfront and according to what has been spilled till now, doesn’t get ABS or FI.

The bike has not been showcased to the Indian media yet but a few Indonesian enthusiasts/media folks have ridden it around the company’s private test track in Pune.

Since Bajaj has overshot launch dates of all their upcoming products, we just do not want to comment on when can we see this in our neighborhood showrooms!
