The upcoming Bajaj adventure bike will be at loggerheads with Hero Xpulse 210 as it debuts in the first quarter of 2027 in the Indian market
Bajaj Auto has been testing an entry-level adventure bike on the Indian roads to take on Hero Xpulse 210. Being the homegrown brand’s first ADV motorcycle, it is likely to launch in Q1 2027 in our country. Earlier this year, the company had confirmed that it will introduce a new sub-brand for adventure bikes in FY27 in India. Furthermore, it was reported that the upcoming Bajaj adventure bike will borrow the 249cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine from the Pulsar N250. The recent sighting of the ADV motorcycle’s test mules alongside the Bajaj Pulsar N250 further strengthens this claim.
Sources close to the development have revealed that Bajaj Auto has developed the adventure bike for Latin America, where it retails multiple new models. However, the production will solely take place at the brand’s Pune facility in India as it will also be retailed in the domestic market. Needless to mention, Bajaj is India’s biggest two-wheeler brand in exports and several motorcycles are shipped to Latin American markets from India.
The spy pics showed a heavily camouflaged test mule of the upcoming adventure bike with a front beak, long single-piece seat, and high positioned handlebar. It is expected to be an adventure tourer built for long distance commutes rather than an out-and-out off-roader. The presence of rear top box also adds weight to the claim that it is going to be an entry-level adventure tourer.

The new adventure bike from Bajaj is seen riding on wire-spoke wheels and dual-purpose tyres. It is likely to feature 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup which we generally see in adventure tourers with small engine displacement in the ballpark of 200-300cc. The suspension duties are carried by telescopic front forks and monoshock unit at the rear.
The rear profile is quite sleek as it boasts of a LED tail-lamp cluster. Despite the rear top box, there seems to be adequate space for the pillion. The sources close to the development state that the upcoming Bajaj adventure bike could be based on KTM single-cylinder engine platform. Previously, it was spied alongside the Pulsar N250 which gave birth to speculations that it could be using the same engine and platform.

In terms of features, we can expect premium features in the form of all-LED lighting, digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation among others. The Bajaj adventure bike price could start from Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) while the top-end variant could be priced around Rs 2.30 lakh in the Indian market.
