The electric motorcycle segment will witness the arrival of several new models in India from key two-wheeler players in the coming months
The electric two-wheeler industry is growing at an unprecedented pace with record number of units sold each month due to the rising fuel prices and buyers opting for EVs instead of petrol-powered models. However, around 95 percent of the sales in e2w segment comes from scooters as the e-motorcycle segment is still in the nascent stages with limited options available for the buyers. But, this is going to change soon as leading automakers are ready to launch their new electric bikes in country in the coming months. In this piece, we will talk in detail about the top 5 electric motorcycles which are confirmed to launch in India in 2026-27.
1. Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6
The all-terrain scrambler is confirmed to launch by the end of 2026 in the Indian market. Having made its first public appearance in India at the Motoverse 2025, the Flying Flea S6 is likely to be more expensive than the C6 which is sold at a sticker price of Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The S6 could also get the same 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery with an identical range of around 150 km on a full charge.

Sharing the L platform with the C6, the Flying Flea S6 will ride on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels with dual-purpose tyres. A few other notable highlights include Enduro-style seat, Finned magnesium battery case, Chain final drive setup, Round touchscreen instrument console with connected features, lean-angle sensing ABS, switchable dual-channel ABS, off-road mode, cruise control, integrated navigation and traction control.
2. Ultraviolette Shockwave
The Shockwave electric motorcycle was launched in March 2025 in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh for the first 1000 customers, it can be booked online by paying a token amount of Rs 999/- on the Ultraviolette website. The deliveries were slated to begin by early 2026. However, they seem to have deferred indefinitely as there is no word from the brand on the same.

The Shockwave is packed with a 3.5 kWh battery pack which returns an IDC range of 165 km on a full charge. It has a peak power of 14.5 bhp and highest torque of 505 Nm at the rear wheel. The electric bike does a 0-60 kmph sprint in just 2.9 seconds. The electric motorcycle is fitted with 19-inch spoked front wheel with section 90/90 tyre and 17-inch spoked rear wheel with section 110/90 tyre as standard.
3. Hero Vida VxZ
Hero MotoCorp held the world premiere of the VxZ concept at the EICMA 2025 in Italy. Presented as the brand’s first mainstream electric motorcycle, it has begun road testing and could be launched by early 2027 in India. The VxZ is being co-developed by the US-based Zero Motorcycles. Earlier this year, the company filed the design patent of the Project VxZ in India.

The VxZ is expected to come with multiple premium elements in the form of sharp LED headlamp and turn indicators, USD front forks, monoshock rear suspension, 5-spoke alloy wheels, stepped seat, signature Vida LED DRLs, compact tail section, belt-drive system, petal disc brakes, all-digital instrument cluster, and multiple ride modes. Hero MotoCorp has kept the technical specs of the VxZ strictly under the wraps.
4. Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric
Time and again, the testing prototypes of the Himalayan Electric are spotted in various cities of India but nothing substantial can be made out of these sightings as Royal Enfield is yet to confirm the launch of all-electric adventure bike in India. Most recently, the Himalayan electric testbed was captured upclose on camera, standing next to the ICE-powered Himalayan, at the Motoverse 2025 in Vagator, Goa.

The spy images show the Himalayan electric borrowing multiple features from its ICE counterpart which includes round LED headlamp, front windscreen, rear view mirrors and single-piece seat. It is likely to be powered by a 14 kWh battery pack with max range in the ballpark of 200-250 km on a single charge. The battery could be paired with a mid-mounted motor with top power of around 100 bhp. The Spain-based Stark Future would be the main supplier of electric motors for the Himalayan Electric.
5. TVS eFX 3O
The eFX 3O electric motorcycle, showcased in concept form at the EICMA 2025 in Italy, will be the first TVS model in this segment. It is likely to launch by the end of 2026 or early 2027. The naked all-electric motorcycle flaunts Apache-inspired styling. It can be touted as the all-electric derivative of the Apache RTR 310 with premium elements such as C-shaped LED headlamp and tail lamp.

The technical specs have not been revealed yet. However, the eFX 3O is expected to get a massive battery pack for class-leading acceleration, range and top speed. It could be fitted with the 5.3 kWh battery pack of iQube ST which could return a range in excess of 200 km. TVS stated earlier that it will introduce 1 kWh “range boosters” to add 40-50 km of range.
