The new production facility in Tirupati is being built with an investment of approximately Rs 2,500 crores

Royal Enfield has officially confirmed that it is setting up a new production facility in Andhra Pradesh. The company stated that it will acquire land parcel for a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Tada (Tirupati) with an investment of approximately Rs 2,500 crores. Though RE has not disclosed the estimated annual production output, we have to come know that 9 million motorcycles will be wheeled out of this factory every year. The Tirupati facility is likely to be fully operational around 2032.

Presently, Royal Enfield has annual manufacturing capacity of around 14.6 Lakh motorcycles at the factory in Tamil Nadu, which is close to full utilisation. A couple of months back in Feb 2026, the brand announced a Rs 958 crores investment for capacity expansion at this production facility to take the total capacity to 20 lakh units.

Speaking on the strategic expansion plan, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director – Eicher Motors Ltd., and Chief Executive Officer – Royal Enfield said, “Royal Enfield’s philosophy has always been to stay connected with our community to deliver the best possible products and experiences. We currently operate four world-class manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu, with a total projected capacity of 2 million units annually. This investment in Andhra Pradesh will augment that capacity and provide the impetus for our next phase of growth.”
