BSA Scrambler 650 Launch Price Rs 3.25 Lakh in India

BSA Scrambler 650 is the only 650cc single-cylinder motorcycle in the Indian market as it rivals Royal Enfield Bear 650

Classic Legends has launched the BSA Scrambler 650 at a starting price of Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. It is the second BSA model in India after the Gold Star 650 as it directly rivals Royal Enfield Bear 650. BSA Scrambler 650 had its global debut in July last year in the UK. The scrambler has been introduced in three colour schemes namely Raven Black, Victor Yellow and Thunder Grey. The company stated that it has carried out India-specific adaptations in the motorcycle for improved control across varied terrains.

Presented as India’s only single-cylinder 650cc motorcycle, BSA Scrambler 650 takes design inspiration from iconic BSA scramblers such as the Gold Star Catalina and A10 Spitfire. It comes with a sculpted tank with chrome accents, scrambler silhouette, signature ‘65’ oval side panels, rally beak, exposed subframe and a flat ribbed bench seat.

BSA Scrambler 650 is offered with a round digital instrument cluster as standard fitment. The bike has a saddle height of 820 mm. It is claimed to have a best-in-class braking system with Brembo calipers. The buyers can also for accessories with the Scrambler 650 in the form of Engine guard, Saddle bag stay, Headlight grille, Brace pad, Top rack and Bar-end mirrors.

Riding on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire spoke wheels, BSA Scrambler 650 has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 208 kg. The suspension duties are carried out by 41mm telescopic front forks and dual-shock rear absorbers. It has a ground clearance of 187 mm. The Scrambler 650 gets dual-channel ABS as standard safety feature.

Mechanically, the Scrambler 650 is powered by a 650cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which develops maximum power of 44.4 bhp at 6500 rpm and highest torque of 55 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. With a wheelbase of 1465 mm, it boasts of 320 mm twin-piston floating front caliper and 255 mm single-piston floating rear caliper as brakes.
