Triumph, Classic Legends and BMW To Launch New Big Bikes in India

The Indian motorcycling fraternity is in for a treat as key two-wheeler brands will introduce their new models in the coming days

The Indian two-wheeler industry posted strong sales in FY26 with over 2.14 crore units at a YoY growth of 13.40 percent. Hence, in an attempt to carry this momentum forward, leading brands have lined up new model launches in the coming months in the country. Among notable auto companies, Triumph, Classic Legends and BMW are confirmed to launch new motorcycles in the Indian market. While BMW and Classic Legends have zeroed down on a date, Triumph is yet to reveal the launch date of its upcoming retro bike. Let’s talk about this in detail.

BMW F 450 GS

The twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle will finally go on sale from April 23, 2026 in the Indian market. It will be developed locally at TVS production facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The F 450 GS is likely to be launched at a starting price around 4 lakh (ex-showroom). The ADV bike will be in a direct competition with Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Kawasaki Ninja 500 and KTM 390 Adventure in India.

As for features, it gets Ride Modes (Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and ABS Pro. At the heart, the F 450 GS houses the 420cc twin-cylinder water-cooled engine which pumps out top power of 47 bhp and highest torque of 43 Nm, while mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Triumph Bonneville 400

Triumph India is expanding its 400 portfolio with the introduction of a seventh motorcycle in the form of the Bonneville 400. It already retails Speed T4, Speed 400, Scrambler 400X, Scrambler 400 XC, Thruxton 400 and Tracker 400. All these bikes, despite carrying the 400 branding, are offered with a 350cc engine to enjoy the lower GST benefits, and Triumph is expected to take the same route with the Bonneville 400.

The Bonneville 400, recently spotted undisguised in India, will be an out-and-out retro roadster to rival Royal Enfield Classic 350. Some of the notable design elements include hrome-studded crank-case and exhaust pipe, wire-spoke wheels, lower handlebars, circular LED headlamp, belly pan, and teardrop-shaped fuel tank. It is likely to launch ahead of the Diwali festive season around Sep-Oct 2026 in India.

Classic Legends Scrambler Bike

The company will either launch the 2026 Yezdi Scrambler or the BSA Scrambler 650 on April 23, 2026 in the Indian market. It is entirely possible that both these motorcycles are launched on the same day in the country. Classic Legends has not updated the Yezdi Scrambler for a long time, unlike the Roadster and Adventure models which were given due updated a few months back.

On the other hand, the BSA Scrambler 650 could also go on sale to rival the Royal Enfield Bear 650. It will be the second motorcycle in BSA portfolio as presently the Gold Star 650 is the only model in its portfolio. The Scrambler 650 is already on sale in the UK with the same 652cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the Gold Star 650 with identical power and torque figures.
