All the road-legal KTM bikes from model year 2025 will be available with a standard warranty of 4 years across the world, including India
KTM bikes will now come with a standard warranty of 4 years across the globe. It will start with model year 2025 bikes across all segments and engine sizes within the street-legal range. The adventure, dual sport, naked, supersport, sports tourer and supermoto bikes from KTM will be sold with engine warranty of 4 years. However, the track-only and closed course competition models are not included in this. The brand stated that all required services must be carried out in accordance with the motorcycle’s official service plan by an authorized KTM dealer to maintain warranty cover.
“We’re continuously evolving and strengthening our warranty coverage to stand firmly behind our products and deliver genuine peace of mind to our customers. By simply following the recommended service plan, riders can rely on comprehensive coverage in the event of any issue. The expansion underlines KTM’s confidence across its entire street range, extending a benefit previously limited to selected models,” said Spela Kovacic, VP Global Customer Service.
Presently, KTM bikes are sold with a 2 year standard warranty in the Indian market. Christened as KTM Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty, it comes absolutely free of cost for all the buyers. The 4 years warranty is automatically applied on the purchase of KTM bikes and the customers are not required to follow any particular process to avail it.

Most importantly, it is applicable on the bike and not the owner. Hence, apart from the first owner, the subsequent owners can also enjoy its benefits. Generally, the warranty expires during the change in ownership and hence KTM has kept it quite simple by applying it on the bike and not the owner. However, servicing or repair works not performed at authorised service centers would void the warranty.
KTM has also introduced Service Activated Roadside Assistance (SARA) in select European markets. It benefits the owners with each annual service performed at an authorised KTM dealer, roadside assistance coverage is extended for up to 12 months or until the next scheduled service. However, it remains to be seen if it is also launched for Indian customers in future.

KTM retails a plethora of motorcycles in the Indian market across different categories such as naked, supersport and adventure among many others. From the entry-level Duke 160 to the flagship 1390 Super Duke R, it retails a wide range of bikes in our market. The highly popular KTM bikes in India are Duke 200, RC 390 and 250 Adventure among others.
