BMW Motorrad India Reports Sales Growth in CY 2025

The company sold a total of 5,841 units during CY 2025 (Jan-Dec 2025) as compared to 5,638 two-wheelers in 2024

BMW Motorrad India registered sales of 5,841 units during CY 2025 (Jan-Dec 2025) in the country. The German brand revealed that the G 310 RR was the top-selling model last year in the Indian market with a YoY growth of 24 percent. BMW Motorrad was the leading premium motorcycle brand in India in 2025. The high-end motorcycles, sold as CBU, also witnessed a YoY growth of 7 percent. The company stated that BMW S 1000 RR, BMW 900 GS & GSA, and BMW 1300 GS & GSA were the models with the highest demand in the domestic market.

The Munich-based brand had sold 5,638 two-wheelers in 2024 in the Indian market. The G 310 RR is BMW’s entry-level motorcycle in India while it is locally developed at TVS factory in Hosur. Based on the TVS Apache RR310, it is priced at Rs 2.81 lakh (ex-showroom). The sales of this fully-faired sportsbike surged during the festive season as due to GST 2.0, it got a price reduction of around Rs 24,000.

BMW G 310 RR comes with four ride modes in the form of Urban, Sport, Rain and Track. The sportsbike is offered in three colour schemes namely Cosmic Black 2, Racing Blue Metallic and Sport. Some of the notable features onboard the G 310 RR include Golden-coloured USD front forks, 2-Way ABS, Race-tested aluminium swingarm, Anti-hopping clutch, Cast aluminum wheels, TFT display, and Ride by Wire throttle.

The new BMW S 1000 R was launched in Sep 2025 in the country at a staggering price point of Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Retailed as CBU in India, the roadster flaunts Splitface LED headlight with daytime riding lights and the R logo. It comes loaded with premium features such as Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), 6.5 TFT display with connectivity, USB charging socket, ABS Pro and Dynamic Traction Control.

At the heart, the supersports motorcycle has the 999cc four-cylinder oil/water-cooled engine which churns out a thumping power output of 168 bhp and peak torque of 114 Nm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. It can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in merely 3.2 seconds while clocking an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. The customers can also opt for three optional packages namely Dynamic Package, Comfort Package or M Sport package.

BMW Motorrad India 2025 Sales

BMW Motorrad will expand its motorcycle portfolio with the launch of the F 450 GS in the coming weeks. It will be the brand’s entry-level adventure motorcycle aimed at Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure and Kawasaki Versys-X 300. The twin-cylinder ADV bike will be locally developed at Hosur production facility of TVS as it goes on sale soon in India.
