The first and only Ducati Panigale V4 R was recently delivered to a customer in Chennai by the brand
Ducati India has launched the all-new Panigale V4 R at a sticker price of Rs 84.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) in the country. Offered in the iconic Ducati Red livery, it borrows multiple features directly from the race-spec bike and many of them have never been seen on a road legal motorcycle. The all-new Ducati Panigale V4 R bookings have restarted in the Indian market as the first and only unit available presently was delivered to a customer in Chennai. The Panigale V4 R is probably the most expensive motorcycle in India.
Dubbed as the closest production model to a World Superbike, it comes with MotoGP-derived solutions in the form of Corner Sidepods and the Ducati Racing Gearbox. Just so you know, Ducati Panigale V4 R is developed in a numbered series with serial number and model name embossed on the steering plate. It flaunts a full-LED headlight setup with DRLs and turn indicators, which have been integrated into the headlight.
Created in partnership with Ducati Corse, the superbike comes with several premium features such as Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) ABS Cornering with combined braking and Race Brake Control, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Power Launch (DPL), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0 and Engine Brake Control (EBC).

The all-new Panigale V4 R also boasts of a new 6.9-inch full-TFT instrument cluster with 8:3 aspect ratio. There are a total of five ride modes on offer in the form of Race A, Race B, Sport, Road, and Wet. Having a kerb weight of 186.5 kg, the chassis of the bike is built around the “Front Frame” and a “Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm” to maximize performance. The Panigale V4 R can clock a top speed of 330 kmph. This speed was previously reserved only for MotoGP bikes.
At the heart, it has the new 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine which generates max power of 215 bhp at 15,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a racing-style gearbox layout where the neutral is positioned below first gear to eliminate the chance of accidental neutral engagement during aggressive braking and corner entry. The max power output can be increased to 232 bhp on racing track by fitting the racing exhaust. It can be further enhanced to 236 by using the Ducati Corse Performance Oil.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India, said, “We are immensely proud to introduce the Panigale V4 R to the Indian market. This motorcycle is a true testament to Ducati’s racing soul and sporting DNA, bringing technology and performance from MotoGP and WorldSBK directly to the streets. The Desmosedici Stradale R engine, the advanced aerodynamics, and the racing-derived electronics are engineered for one purpose: to offer unparalleled performance on the track. For the discerning Indian enthusiast who demands the absolute best, the Panigale V4 R is not just a motorcycle; it’s an experience of what it feels like to ride a true racing machine.”
