Hero Karizma XMR 250 Spotted Yet Again in India, New Colours

The Karizma XMR 250, a direct rival to the Yamaha R2, has been captured on camera in a new red paint scheme at a Hero dealership

Hero Karizma XMR 250 was spotted undisguised at a company dealership over two months back in India. The spied model was wearing a dual-tone red and black paint scheme. However, this time around the fully-faired sportsbike has been sighted in a single-tone red shade with white and black as secondary colours. The Karizma XMR 250 had its global debut at the EICMA 2024 in a dual-tone white and red colourway. Hence, the latest pics leaked on the web reveal the third colour pallete of the sportsbike ahead of its official launch.

First things first, Hero Karizma XMR 250 was unveiled in India at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi. The brand presented an updated version of the fully-faired sportsbike at the EICMA 2025 with cruise control and ride-by-wire throttle. Now, with the latest edition of the Milan Motorcycle Show a few days away, we believe that the Karizma XMR 250 is finally ready to launch in India as well as international markets.

Coming back to the unit captured on camera at a Hero dealership, it gets red as basic body colour. We can see the fuel tank, front fairing and tail section finished in red while the mudguard flaunts a white colour scheme followed by the black tank inserts and side panels. The fairing has white graphics alongside the Karizma branding on the tank and XMR graphics on the lower portion of the fairing.

The Karizma XMR 250 boasts of black alloy wheels and mirrors. The quarter-litre motorcycle retains several elements from the model shown last year in India such as split LED headlamps, clip-on handlebars, TFT instrument console, slipper and assist clutch, dual-channel ABS, and integrated winglets. Sitting on a trellis frame, it boasts of golden-coloured USD front forks and preload-adjustable rear monoshock absorbers as standard suspension setup.

At the heart, it has the 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which generates top power of 29.6 bhp and peak torque of 25 Nm while paired to a 6-speed transmission. This engine has been developed out of the existing 210cc engine of the Karizma XMR 210. Hero Karizma XMR 250 will directly rival Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 200 and Yamaha R2 in the Indian market.
