With 501 km range on a full charge, Ola Roadster X Plus 9.1 kWh has the highest range among all the electric two-wheelers in India
Ola Electric will commence the deliveries of the Roadster X Plus 9.1 kWh electric motorcycle from Jan 20, 2026 in the Indian market. Unveiled in Feb 2025, it is retailed at a sticker price of Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The Bengaluru-based EV start-up recently claimed that the Roadster X Plus will be the first electric motorcycle in India to come with an entirely in-house developed battery pack. It received the certification for the same from the Indian government as it is powered by Ola’s self-developed 4680 Bharat Cell.
The certification received under the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), 1989 has been issued by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (iCAT), which is a government testing agency based in Manesar, Haryana. “The government certification of the Roadster X+ is a major milestone in Ola Electric’s journey towards building end-to-end EV technology in India. With the Roadster X+ (9.1 kWh), we are delivering an unmatched range along with superior performance, safety, and reliability, powered entirely by our own cell and battery technology,” said an Ola Electric spokesperson.
Ola Roadster X Plus 9.1 kWh comes with first in-segment patented brake-by-wire technology with single-channel ABS. In addition, it is offered with a 4.3-inch LCD screen which is powered by the latest MoveOS 5. The Roadster X Plus 9.1 kWh is available in four colour options namely Industrial Silver, Metallic Black, Stellar Blue and Pine Green in the country.

Some of the notable features onboard the electric motorcycle are advanced regeneration, cruise control, energy insights and reverse mode. It also boasts of a USB charger for Smartphone charging on the go. Sitting on a double cradle frame architecture, the Roadster X Plus gets three ride modes namely Sports, Normal, and Eco. The stopping power comes from a front disc brake.
The powertrain setup of the Roadster X Plus 9.1 kWh comprises of chain drive, mid-drive motor and an integrated MCU. Powered by the 9.1 kWh battery pack with IP67 waterproof and dust-proof certification, it has a range of 501 km on a full charge. The electric motorcycle touches the 40 kmph mark from standstill in merely 2.7 secs before topping out at 125 kmph. The peak power output is rated at 14.7 bhp.

The inclusion of advanced wire bonding technology and serviceable Battery Management System (BMS) ensure easy and budget-friendly maintenance. Ola Electric is providing a battery warranty of 3 years/ 50,000 km, whichever is earlier. The company claims that the longer range of the Roadster X Plus will enable inter-city travels in non-metro markets where the charging infrastructure is inadequate.
