Upcoming Kawasaki W230 Engine Specs

The W230 will be powered by a 233cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine which generates top power of 17 bhp and peak torque of 19 Nm. This engine does duties to the KLX230 adventure bike in the Indian market. It will be paired to a 5-speed transmission. The W230, since it is a neo-retro cruiser, will have ground clearance of 150 mm and saddle height of 744 mm.

Upcoming Kawasaki W230 Price in India

It is not confirmed yet whether the W230 will be locally assembled in India akin to the KLX230 or the company intends to retail it through the CBU route at least initially. Before local production commenced, Kawasaki KLX230 was priced above Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). However, post the beginning of production in India, its price came down to just Rs 1.84 lakh and it became one of the most value-for-money models in the Indian market. Hence, if the W230 is locally manufactured in India, it could pull a large customer base due to the aggressive pricing of around Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
