Norton Atlas, Manx India Launch Timeline Revealed – Details

While the Atlas will be the first Norton model to go on sale in India in January 2027, the Manx is scheduled to launch a couple of months later in March

It was recently learnt that Norton will debut a 450cc single-cylinder roadster at the EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. It will be launched in India around the second half of 2027. However, the bigger news is that the British brand will finally start its second innings in the Indian market under the ownership of TVS Motor Company from January 2027 with the launch of the Atlas adventure bike. It will be followed by the Manx superbike a couple of months later in March 2027 through the newly setup Paddock premium dealer outlets.

Norton Atlas production started in India at the Hosur factory of TVS Motor Company in June 2026. The first bike was rolled out of the assembly line by Dr. Sutapa Choudhary, British Deputy High Commissioner covering TN, Puducherry and Kerala and Mr. K. N Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO, TVS Motor Company. It was announced to go on sale in Q4 2026 in the local market in India. However, it has now been pushed to Q1 2027.

Norton Atlas had its world premieres at the EICMA 2025 in Italy. While the off-road specific Atlas comes with a 19-inch front wheel, the road-biased version, the Atlas GT uses 17-inch wheels at both ends. Sharing a common platform, both the ADV bikes are powered by a 585cc parallel twin liquid-cooled engine which develops top power of 69 bhp at 9,300 rpm and peak torque of 57.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

Designed and and engineered at Norton’s Solihull headquarters, Norton Atlas range sits on a lightweight steel trellis chassis while equipped with an array of premium and upmarket features in the form of five configurable rider modes, fully adjustable KYB suspension, cornering cruise control, an 8-inch TFT display and Norton Rider app connectivity.

In June 2026, TVS had announced that the Paddock network of premium showrooms will be launched in Q2 FY27 in India. However, the progress on this front has been quite slow as according to latest reports, only three Paddock outlets are likely to be ready December 2026. The Norton Atlas and Manx will be initially sold through these dealerships along with a few premium TVS motorcycles.

“As Norton continues to build the brand globally, it is important to ensure that Norton’s entry into India is equally meaningful and thoughtfully executed. The positive response to Norton’s products in Europe gives us confidence, and more on Norton’s India plans will be shared in due course,” the Norton spokesperson said while speaking to AutoCar India.
