Suzuki is planning to foray into the alternate fuel segment in the Indian market. While it is ready with the first all-electric model in the form of the E-Access, the company also unveiled the Access CNG at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. Suzuki also presented the hydrogen-powered Burgman 400 prototype at the event in Tokyo. All of these models are likely to be launched in the Indian market in the coming years.

Suzuki Access CNG can run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Compressed Biomethane Gas (CBG), apart from petrol. The CNG tank is placed beneath the seat with a capacity of 6 litres and range of 170 km. On the other hand, the petrol tank is located at its traditional place with an external filler. Presently, Bajaj Freedom is the only CNG-powered two-wheeler model on sale in India.
