BSA Thunderbolt ADV 350 India Launch by Mid 2026

The Thunderbolt 350 adventure motorcycle is the fourth BSA model after the Gold Star 650, Bantam 350 and Scrambler 650

The BSA Thunderbolt adventure motorcycle had its world premiere at the EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. It is the first 350cc ADV bike from Classic Legends under the BSA branding. It has been learnt that the Thunderbolt ADV 350 will go on sale in the Indian market by mid 2026 against the likes of KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX. Presently, BSA retails only one model in India in the form of Gold Star 650 while two more new motorcycles namely Bantam 350 and Scrambler 650 are being readied to launch in the coming few months.

Classic Legends has brought back the ‘Thunderbolt’ nameplate to life as it was discontinued a long way back in 1972. It was a capable adventure tourer built for long journeys as well as off-roading. Hence, it seems quite fitting that the company has christened its first-ever adventure motorcycle as the Thunderbolt in the modern era.

BSA Thunderbolt ADV 350 flaunts a rally-style beak and adjustable windscreen at front while at the rear, there is a rack for storing luggage and upswept exhaust for better water wading ability. Without divulging the exact numbers, the company claims that the adventure bike is introduced with higher ground clearance but lower saddle height. Sitting on an exoskeleton frame, it also gets reinforced bash plate, wide handlebars and knuckle guards.

Some of the notable features onboard the Thunderbolt 350 are traction control, three ABS modes (Rain, Road, Off-Road), slip and assist clutch, all-digital instrument cluster, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and USB charging slot. The suspension duties are performed by USD front forks and preload adjustable mono shock rear unit.

The Thunderbolt ADV 350 boasts of a 15.5L fuel tank, which is one of the biggest in the segment. Though mileage figures have not been revealed, we expect the adventure bike to deliver in the ballpark of 28-30 kmpl. Hence, due to the bigger fuel tank, the riders have the convenience of covering nearly 450 km without stopping for refueling.

At the heart, BSA Thunderbolt ADV 350 has the tried-and-trusted 334cc single cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC petrol engine which generates max power of 28.8 bhp and peak torque of 29.6 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is already available with several Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles in the Indian market as all these brands are owned by Classic Legends.
