The base 390 Adventure X price has also been increased by around Rs 22,410 and thus taking it to Rs 3.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
KTM India has silently hiked the price of its most popular middleweight adventure motorcycle range, the 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X, in the country. While the entry-level Adventure X variant now costs Rs 3.26 lakh with a significant increase in price by Rs 22,410, the standard 390 Adventure is pegged at Rs 3.95 lakh with a substantial surge of Rs 27,000. All the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom, Delhi.
During the Diwali festive season earlier this year, the Govt has increased GST from 28 percent to 40 percent on two-wheelers with engine capacity above 350cc. However, KTM did not increase the price of the 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X immediately as it absorbed this GST hike and did not pass it directly to the customers.
This move of not increasing the price during the Diwali festive season worked wonderfully for KTM and it reaped rich dividends in the form of record sales during this time. However, as the festive season is over now, the Bajaj-owned Austrian two-wheeler brand has made a calculated move to raise the ex-showroom price of the 390 line-up.

With the latest pricing, KTM 390 Adventure now has a price similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, more or less. In fact, the on-road price of the adventure bike has touched the Rs 5 lakh mark which appears to be on the higher side despite the motorcycle coming equipped with best-in-segment features and power-packed performance.
On the other hand, the KTM 390 Adventure X with the increased price is a far better value-for-money model than the standard 390 Adventure. Though it misses out on premium features such as fully adjustable suspension setup and 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels with tubeless tyres. The omission of these features from the 390 Adventure X make it cheaper than the regular version.

Both the motorcycles are powered by a 398.63cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which generates max power of 45.3 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 39 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox. The 390 duo comes with a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres.
