Yamaha’s latest all-new model in India was launched yesterday at an event in Mumbai in the form of the XSR 155 retro sport motorcycle.
Yamaha XSR 155 was launched yesterday at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market alongside a plethora of new models such as the FZ-Rave, EC 06 electric commuter scooter and Aerox-E high performance electric scooter. It will rival Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin 210 in the domestic market. Let’s talk about the newly launched Yamaha XSR 155 in detail, including the dimensions, design, features and engine specifications.
1. Yamaha XSR 155 Dimensions
Sitting on a Deltabox frame, Yamaha XSR 155 measures 2005 mm in length, 805 mm in width, and 1080 mm in height. It has a decent ground clearance of 120 mm while the saddle height stands at 810 mm. Tipping the weighing scale at 137 kg, the XSR 155 has a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres. The wheelbase of the retro bike is pegged at 1325 mm.

2. Yamaha XSR 155 Design
The XSR 155 is introduced in a retro look with modern, sleek and sporty graphics. It flaunts all-LED lighting as the round headlamp, turn indicators and round tail-lamps with flashers are offered with LED units. The sculpted fuel tank comes in teardrop shape while the single-piece tuck and roll seat enhances the overall retro charm. It is available in four colour schemes: Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic and Metallic Blue.
3. Yamaha XSR 155 Features
The XSR 155 is packed with a round coloured instrument cluster with LCD display which houses speedometer and tachometer in digital format. In addition, there is a gear positioning indicator, fuel gauge and fuel consumption indicator for the rider. The Smartphone can be connected to the instrument panel via the Y-Connect app by pairing it with Bluetooth to access call, SMS and email alerts.

In addition, the riders can know about the phone battery level status, maintenance recommendations and last parking location through the Y-connect app. Some of the other notable features include dual-channel ABS, traction control system, wider (140mm) rear radial tyre, assist & slipper clutch and 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
4. Yamaha XSR 155 Engine
The retro motorcycle is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which generates max power of 18.1 bhp at 10000 rpm and peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox while fully compatible with the latest E20 fuel standards. The fuel-injected engine comes with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA).

5. Yamaha XSR 155 Customization Kits
The XSR 155 is presented with two custom kits namely Cafe-Racer and Scrambler. While the former comes with cafe headlight cowl, adjustable levers, side radiator guard, side panel cover in silver finish, dual seat assy with hump, and license plate holder, the latter gets fly screen, bar end mirrors, adjustable levers, side radiator guard, knee pad, seat cover, side number plate and license plate holder.
