Triumph Speed 400, T4 Prices Slashed by Up To Rs 16,797

Triumph Speed 400 and Speed T4 have become more economical and accessible to the buyers as their prices have been cut by nearly Rs 17k and Rs 14k, respectively

Triumph Motorcycles India has announced a price cut of up to Rs 16,797 on the Speed 400 and Speed T4 in the country. Due to this reduction in price, Triumph Speed 400 will now be available at Rs 2.34 lakh while the Speed T4 will be sold at a price point of Rs 1.93 lakh. This move from Bajaj-Triumph deserves a huge round of applause, as despite the sharp increase in GST on 350+cc motorcycles from 28 percent to 40 percent, it has slashed the prices keeping in mind the Diwali festive season. The company had earlier absorbed the entire increased cost on GST by retaining the same prices as earlier.

Triumph Speed 400 was priced at Rs 2.51 lakh but now the buyers will be able to take it home at just Rs 2.34 lakh with a reduction in price by approx Rs 17k. On the other hand, the Speed T4 was earlier priced at Rs 2.07 lakh but now it can be availed at Rs 1.93 lakh with prices being cut by around Rs 14k. We expect the British brand to announce similar price reductions for the other 400cc models as well in the coming days.

Speaking on the announcement, Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said: β€œThe Speed 400 and Speed T4 have set benchmarks in performance, design, and accessibility. By absorbing the impact and introducing a price slash, Triumph and Bajaj Auto are reaffirming their focus on the Indian market and its customers, ensuring the Speed range continues to deliver unmatched value. We have also seen monthly volumes nearly double since FY23–24, with a strong surge in demand before the GST revision, which is a clear reflection of the trust and aspiration customers associate with Triumph. We are confident of sustaining this momentum going forward.”

Apart from the Speed 400 and Speed T4, Triumph’s 400cc portfolio has three more models in the form of the Scrambler 400 X, Scrambler 400 XC and Thruxton 400. Meanwhile, in other news, it has been learnt that Triumph is working on a smaller 350cc engine in order to avail the lower GST benefits. This engine is being built from the existing 398cc liquid-cooled engine and it might debut by June 2026 with a new model (Bonneville) while gradually installed in all the motorcycles of the current 400cc portfolio. Stay tuned for more updates on the same.
