Due to GST 2.0, Royal Enfield 450cc models such as Scram 440, Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450 have witnessed a hike in price by up to Rs 22,000.
The introduction of GST 2.0 has ensured cheaper bikes and scooters from Sep 22 in the Indian market. However, Royal Enfield is one such brand that had mixed impact of the 2025 GST reforms on its model line-up and I say that because while the 350cc motorcycles in RE portfolio have become more economical and accessible, the 450cc and 650cc bikes have become even more expensive and pretty much a distant dream for many. Here in this piece, let’s decode the GST 2.0 impact on Royal Enfield 450cc bikes with the updated variant-wise price list.
Royal Enfield Scram 440: The Scram 440, Royal Enfield’s entry-level model in the 450cc portfolio, has become more expensive by up to Rs 15k-16k due to the revised GST rates. Earlier, it was taxed at 28 percent but now under GST 2.0, it is placed in the 40 percent slab which has significantly increased its price. The Scram 440 is available in five colours namely Trail Green, Trail Blue, Force Grey, Force Teal and Force Blue.
