Honda Shine 100 DX will be the top-end variant of the entry-level commuter motorcycle while challenging the Hero HF Deluxe Pro in India.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced a new variant of the Shine 100 in the country. Christened as Honda Shine 100 DX, it will directly rival Hero HF Deluxe Pro which was launched recently at a price point of Rs 73,550 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Shine 100 DX bookings and price announcement will take place on Aug 1, 2025 with deliveries commencing in the next few days. The Shine 100 DX gets visual updates and new features over the standard model while retaining the same hardware, cycle parts and engine.
First things first, Honda Shine 100 Dx flaunts a newly designed headlamp with chrome garnishing. It also gets a sculpted wide fuel tank with Honda badging. The motorcycle is presented with refreshed graphics on the body panels while the single-piece long seat is carried over from the regular model. Some of the other notable styling elements include chrome muffler, all-black engine and grab rail.

Honda Shine 100 DX will be available in four mono-tone paint choices namely Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Geny Gray Metallic. It has been equipped with a new LCD digital instrument cluster which gives access to a host of information to the rider in the form of real-time display of mileage, distance to empty (range), and service due indicator among others.
The suspension duties are carried out by telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable rear shock absorbers. The stopping power comes from drum brakes at both the ends, along with a Combined Brake System (CBS). Riding on 17-inch wheels with tubeless tyres, Honda Shine 100 DX also comes with side stand engine cut off feature. The bike has a ground clearance of 168 mm.

Mechanically, it houses the same OBD-2B compliant 98.98cc single-cylinder petrol engine with Honda’s eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology. This engine generates maximum power of 7.28 bhp at 7500 rpm and highest torque of 8.04 Nm at 5000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 4-speed gearbox. Honda Shine 100 is the brand’s entry-level commuter motorcycle priced at Rs 68,862 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Shine 100 DX is likely to cost at least Rs 5000-7000 more than the standard variant.
