BMW Motorrad have unveiled the 2023 S1000 RR globally with a great emphasis on changes & improvements geared towards enhancing riding experience.
After 2019, this is the first time BMW S1000 RR has received any major upgrades – with the 2021 & 2020 versions only bringing cosmetic changes. This time there is significant changes within the engine that has brought up the horsepower numbers and revised aerodynamics to provide better aerodynamics to the flagship supersport.
2023 BMW S1000 RR – Colours & Pricing
The 2023 BMW S1000 RR is offered in 3 colour schemes – Blackstorm Metallic, Style Passion in Racing Red Non-Metallic, Light White Non-Metallic/BMW M tricolour.
The German manufacturer defines these 3 colours as ‘3 variants’ of the flagship supersport. They further explain that the Light White Non-Metallic/BMW M tricolour is the top-spec variant of the new bike and comes as standard with the various M package accessories.

2023 BMW S1000 RR – What’s New
- The most prominent change that can be seen on the 2023 S1000 RR is the addition of Aerodynamic Winglets inspired by the bigger M1000 RR sibling.
- The new winglets are integrated into the front section of the fairing and are claimed to add as much as 10 kg of downforce when the bike reaches its top speed.
- Another new feature added to the S1000 RR is the introduction of Slide Control function introduced into the Dynamic Traction Control System.
- This allows the rider to select his/her preference as to how much the rear of the bike can slide while entering and/or exiting the corner.
- Coming to the heart of the machine, the 999 cc, inline-4 engine has received a major revision in its internals.
- The output of the monstrous engine has jumped to 210 HP for the European region and has been restricted to 205 HP for the U.S. region.
- Other significant updates include a new Flex Frame design along with alternation to chassis geometry.
- BMW have increased the list of the standard accessories being offered on the bike to include – A high windshield, an M lightweight battery, a shorter license plate holder at the rear, and redesigned rear section for a tidy yet aggressive look.
- For the track fiends – BMW have made the changing of wheels much easier than before and additions of chamfered brake pads & brake anchor plates to further improve the braking of the bike.
Finally, the 2023 BMW S1000 RR has been unveiled globally but will only start reaching the BMW-authorised dealerships in early 2023.
