Bajaj Auto, the largest exporter of two-wheelers in India is planning to extend their export portfolio and approach newer markets. The manufacturer, after a fairly long lull in the performance segment, recently launched three new motorcycles within the Pulsar brand which include the new flagship RS200, AS200 and AS150. Apart from this the company also has launched two new commuter centric bikes, the Platina ES and CT 100.
In a recent interview to Money Control Mr S Ravikumar, President, Business Development, Bajaj Auto revealed that the new Pulsars will be exported from this month, that is July. A quick search on Zauba reveals that the company has already exported a few units of the Pulsar AS 200 and AS 150 to Nepal, which will be the first market after India to get the new Adventure Sport Pulsars.
The report further says that Bajaj Auto expects the total exports for the month of July to be a healthy figure of 1,60,000 units thanks to a strong presence in markets such as Sri Lanka and Nigeria. Their Columbia sales have been hit a bit but they are confident of striking back.
They did slip in the last quarter with number stopping at 4,77,000 units (of exports) instead of the expected 5 lakh units. With the start of export of the new Pulsars, the company is confident of setting up good numbers this time.

Bajaj is also increasing production of their Pulsar RS200 and its waiting period of 2-3 months in the domestic market will also be reduced.
