TVS-BMW K03 Export Valued at 1.07 Lakhs; A Duke 390 Beater in the Making?

So, we have got some new developments on TVS-BMW’s first product K03. It is known that 100 percent of the engineering on the project is being done by BMW whereas local sourcing and India-specific inputs will be provided by TVS. In an update, Zauba.com reveals that TVS is exporting many K03s to Germany since 25th May this year.

There are a lot of motorcycles with different VINs (Vehicle Identification Number) and the latest dispatch was barely a few days back, on 12th June which comprised of two shipments of 6 and 5 motorcycles each. It may be possible that these products have been sent to India a few days/weeks back for local study and other requirements and now TVS is shipping them back for further progress on testing, with whatever inputs they may have noted.

The more interesting bit is the value of the products which are pegged between 1.05 Lakhs to 1.07 Lakh each (that 84k motorcycle is with a dummy engine). This obviously doesn’t really give us any significant lead into the confirmed pricing of the motorcycles, but then reading smaller price figures does help in hoping for as lower prices as possible!

It was revealed by BMW’s boss that K03 will be a single cylinder motorcycle and with its displacement expected to be near 300cc, we are sure there will be tons of takers for the motorcycle at double of what has been entered here… At 2 odd lakhs, do we see a very worthy Duke 390 rival?
