Honda is poised to launch four new electric scooters in the Indian market in the next two years with heavy focus on localization
Honda recently introduced two all-new electric scooters in the Indian market in form of the Activa e and QC1. Both the e-scooters were also showcased last month at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi. In addition, the brand had announced that its EV dedicated production facility in Karnataka will start operations in early 2028. Now, it has been learnt that Honda is ready to launch as many as four new electric models in our market in the next two years. Furthermore, it has planned to present 10 new EVs in India by 2030.
Honda has already made it clear that India will be its global production hub for electric vehicles. The new EVs will be produced at the Karnataka factory while exported to several countries across the globe. The top brass at Honda are of the view that India will be among the fastest growing EV markets in the next decade.

The electric two-wheeler market has witnessed an upward trend in the last two years in India with models like Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube making it to the list of top 10 highest-selling scooters in the country. Honda has set an annual sales target of 3 lakh units with the four upcoming electric products. However, not much is known about these offerings as of now.
According to a report on AutoCar Professional, Honda’s upcoming electric offerings will be tailored specifically for the Indian buyers and their requirements. The company will also make it presence felt in every segment, right from the entry-level segment for gig workers to the high-end long-range division with premium features and stylish design.
Honda Activa e returns a range of 102 km on single charge as it comes equipped with two 1.5 kWh swappable battery packs, which have been christened as Honda Mobile Power Pack e. It is available in two variants namely base and RoadSync Duo at price points of Rs 1.17 lakh and Rs 1.52 lakh, respectively. Both the aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, Bengaluru.
Honda QC1, on the other hand, is offered with a fixed battery as it delivers a range of 80 km on a full charge. It has been priced at Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) with sales commencing initially in six cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh. The e-scooter has a top speed of 50 kmph while taking around 6 hours and 50 mins to fully charge the battery.
