The 2025 Speed Twin 1200 range comes with increased power, updated chassis and new features in the Indian market
Triumph Motorcycle India has launched the new-gen 2025 Speed Twin 1200 and Speed Twin 1200 RS at price points of Rs 12.75 lakh and Rs 15.50 lakh (Both ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively, in the country. The bikes will be available at the company authorized dealerships from January 2025 across India. The Speed 1200 duo comes with multiple updates to the chassis while receiving a bump in power output along with several new features. The 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 and the 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS can be configured at the brand’s official website in India.
The 2025 Speed Twin 1200 is offered with a sculpted fuel tank and a new flip-up filler cap. The side panels are integrated neatly into the throttle body covers with their brushed aluminium finisher. The bikes flaunt new black powder-coated engine casings in an angular shape. The front fascia gets a circular LED headlamp with signature DRL and it is flanked by a new brushed aluminium bezel and stylish cast aluminium finishers.
The 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 can be availed in a Aluminium Silver colour with discreet ‘1200’ numbering and twin black stripes. In addition, it will also be sold in two dual-tone colour schemes namely Crystal White + Sapphire black and Carnival Red + Sapphire black. On the other hand, the 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS will be available in bright Baja Orange or subtle Sapphire Black, both with RS decals in gold.
The 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 is equipped with 43mm Marzocchi front forks and dual Marzocchi rear suspension. These units now get remote reservoirs and adjustable preload. The braking duties are helmed by twin 320mm disc units while it rides on new cast aluminium wheels with Metzeler Sportec M9RR tyres as standard. As for the 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS, it boasts of fully-adjustable Marzocchi front forks and Öhlins rear suspension setup. The stopping power comes from twin Brembo Stylema calipers on 320mm discs as the bike is shod with high performance Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres.
The rear portion of the 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS has been raised a bit along with the saddle height. The handlebar sees no change in height but they are moved closer to the rider while the footpegs are pushed further back with partial increase in height. Some of the notable features in both motorcycles are Turn-by-turn navigation, Phone connectivity, Road and Rain riding modes, USB-C charging socket, Optimised cornering ABS and Traction control. The Speed Twin 1200 RS gets an additional Sport riding mode and Triumph Shift Assist, which acts as an up and down quickshifter.
Both the bikes are powered by Triumph’s high-compression Bonneville 1200 twin engine which generates max power of 103 bhp at 7,750 rpm and peak torque of 112 Nm at 4,250 rpm. The power output has been increased by 5 bhp. A 6-speed transmission has been offered as standard with both the bikes.
