The 2025 RC 390 will come with several visual enhancements while using the Duke 390’s 399cc liquid-cooled engine
The 2025 KTM RC 390 has been spotted testing once again by our friends at Powerdrift. The brand had recently unveiled the new 390 Adventure range at the EICMA 2024 in Italy and then these bikes made their first public appearance in India at the India Bike Week (IBW) 2024 in December. The 2025 RC 390 will come with several visual enhancements while using the Duke 390’s engine as we have seen with the latest KTM motorcycles. The ongoing model costs Rs 3.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the new RC 390 is expected to be priced significantly higher than this.
Going by the spy-images, it is quite clear that the design of the 2025 KTM RC 390 takes a radical departure from its predecessors while taking inspiration from the brand’s RC 8C track bike. It boasts of a single-piece fairing with centrally positioned projector LED headlamp. The test mule also shows a transparent bubble windshield which is complemented well by the side mirrors.
The 2025 KTM RC 390 also gets massive side vents to assist in cooling down the high-compression powertrain. The fuel tank too has been redesigned from ground while the rear profile also seems to have undergone heavy cosmetic makeover. The chassis has also gone under the hammer but KTM has used the same trellis frame. It will rival TVS Apache RR 310 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 in India.
The 2025 KTM RC 390 features will be striking, advanced and premium. A special mention here goes to the digital TFT display with Smartphone Bluetooth connectivity as standard. Other notable features onboard will be switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control system, bi-directional quickshifter and ride modes. The suspension duties will be performed by USD front forks and a mono-shock unit at the rear. There will be adjustable compression and rebound functions at both the ends.
Riding on 17-inch wheels, it will be equipped with disc brakes at front as well as rear. Mechanically, the 2025 KTM RC 390 will use the same 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which we have seen with the Duke 390. It develops top power of 44.2 bhp and highest torque of 39 Nm while mated to a 6-speed transmission. The 2025 RC 390 is expected to come with the same power and torque figures.
KTM India will launch several new bikes in the coming months in the domestic market. It will introduce the 2025 390 Adventure X, 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC R in the Indian market in a phased-wise manner. The 2025 RC 390 could be launched in the second half of 2025 in India.
