The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure can be booked online at a token payment of Rs 1999/- in the Indian market while it launches in the next few days
KTM India has officially revealed the features and engine specs of the upcoming 2025 390 Adventure motorcycle. Though it was believed that the European two-wheeler manufacturer would launch the bike on Jan 30 in the Indian market but for some reasons, it held back the price announcement and only released the technical specifications. The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure had made its first public appearance in India at the India Bike Week (IBW) 2024 in Goa. The bookings for the motorcycle have started at a token amount of Rs 1999/- at the company’s official website.
Built with Dakar DNA, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure flaunts a rally-inspired design and graphics. The tank spoilers and rear panels are wider than before while an engine guard is offered as standard fitment to protect the engine during off-roading. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoked wheels along with adjustable footpegs.
The 2025 390 Adventure will be available in two colour options namely Ceramic White and Electronic Orange. Sitting on an all-new split-trellis frame, it will boast of LED headlamps. The bike will have a ground clearance of 227 mm (increased by 27 mm) while the saddle height is tipped at 830 mm (reduced by 25 mm). The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 183 kg (6 kgs heavier) along with a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres. KTM claims a range of 400+ km on a full tank, which indicates a mileage of around 28-30 kmpl.
The tubular frame is suspended by WP-sourced 43 mm fully-adjustable USD front forks and mono-shock unit at rear with rebound damping and preload adjustability. The stopping power comes from 320 mm front disc brake with radially mounted caliper and 240 mm rear disc unit with floating caliper. These work in sync with the cornering off-road ABS.
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is presented with a new 5-inch TFT instrument console with KTMconnect app. The Smartphone can be paired to the TFT display via Bluetooth and the riders can access turn-by-turn navigation. Some of the notable features on-board are Cruise Control, Switchable Cornering MTC, Ride-by-wire throttle, Quickshifter+, Slipper clutch and a 12V USB socket. The bike comes with three riding modes namely Street, Rain, and Off-Road.
Mechanically, the 2025 390 Adventure will be powered by a new 398.63 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled LC4C engine which will churn out top power of 45 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 39 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This engine has been borrowed from the Duke 390. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The current model is priced at Rs 3.42 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure to attract a premium of at least 10,000-15,000 over the existing version.
