The 2025 Hero Splendor Plus will get a couple of new paint schemes and a disc brake at front to enhance its overall appeal among buyers
The 2025 Hero Splendor Plus has been spotted undisguised ahead of its official launch in the Indian market. The video shared by Instagram user __nobita_0009_ appears to be of a dealer stockyard and details the multiple updates given to the commuter motorcycle. The 2025 Splendor Plus gets two new colour schemes and a front disc brake among other notable upgrades. The 100 cc commuter bike has been the best-selling motorcycle for the last so many years in India even as it faces stiff competition from Bajaj Platina 100 and TVS Radeon.
The upcoming 2025 Splendor Plus will get at least two new colour schemes as visible in the video. The new swanky red paint shade is offered with golden decals while another new colourway is grey. In addition, for the first time, the bike will get a front disc brake and it looks like a direct lift-off from the Splendor Plus Xtec, which also boasts of a digital instrument cluster.

The current model of Hero Splendor Plus comes with drum brakes at both ends. The rear drum brake will be retained while at the front, disc will replace the drum unit to provide better stopping power and accentuate the safety aspect. The motorcycle will have no other changes apart from the new color and inclusion of a front disc brake.
Mechanically, the commuter motorcycle will continue to carry the same 97.2 cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine with max power of 7.9 bhp and peak torque of 8.05 Nm while paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The company will update the engine to meet the more stringent OBD-2B emission norms. However, any change in technical specs is highly unlikely.

The suspension duties are helmed by telescopic front fork and twin-shock absorbers at the rear. The existing setup will continue with the new iteration as well. The price of the current model starts at Rs 77,176 while the top variant costs 79,926 (both prices are ex-showroom). Expect the 2025 Hero Splendor Plus price to be a bit higher than this.
The two arch rivals of the Splendor Plus are Bajaj Platina 100 and TVS Radeon which are priced at Rs 68,890 and Rs 59,880, respectively, in the Indian market. Despite being more expensive than its foes, the 100 cc commuter from Hero continues to enjoy higher degree of customer trust due to its unmatched reliability, superior mileage and excellent resale value.
