2023 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR ‘Bond Edition’ Limited Model Unleashed!!

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 Bond Edition will only be sold in 60 limited editions to celebrate 60 years of the spy film franchise…

So, the (In)Famous fictional British spy – James Bond – film franchise is celebrating their 60th Anniversary in 2022. The latest film No Time To Die is the franchise’s 25th feature and marks the partnership of the popular British secret agent with the iconic British motorcycle brand – Triumph Motorcycles.

The new all-British partnership saw Bond chasing the antagonist on a Blacked-out Triumph Scrambler 1200 which was sold in an auction for a whopping $150,000 or approximately Rs. 1.23 Crore. Such is the impact of this new iconic all-British partnership.

Yet, for Triumph, it doesn’t stop here. Triumph Motorcycles have officially unveiled the limited-run Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition retro-racer. Only 60 units in total of the new Bond Editions are on sale and will only be sold to a selective lucky few.

And boy!! Does the bike matches the Bond persona perfectly!

Donning the Black with Granite & Storm Grey colour scheme, the bike carries the subtle and secretive spy ambience accurately. Even the Speed Triple 1200 RR & ‘60 Years of Bond’ badging is very understated and blends perfectly with the overall livery of the old-school cafe racer.

Triumph’s attention to detail is exemplary and is further strengthened with the minute details added to the Bond Edition to commemorate the film franchise. The tightening-aperture gun-barrel sequence at the start of every movie is beautifully decorated across the front fairing of Speed Triple RR while the names of all 25 movies in the franchise adorn the fuel tank, and that too in their original font.

Worried about exclusivity still?? How about the use of never-before Gold Badging and detailing along with individual production numbers stamped on the handlebar clamp? Furthermore, the lucky owner will be presented with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity (by Triumph CEO – Nick Bloor) and a 007-branded indoor bike cover.

Sadly, there are no hidden machine guns, rocket launchers or goon-averting spikes secretly hidden within the bike (that we know of). But, the Hinckley manufacturer have loaded the bike with the latest gadgetry such as cornering ABS and lean-sensing traction control to aid the 1160 cc, inline-triple motor which can put out 178 HP and 125 Nm of torque fitted with a bi-directional Quickshifter aided 6-speed transmission system.

Just so that the goons do not get away, the Bond Edition Speed Triple 1200 RR gets Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension setup and braking hardware made up of Brembo Stylema calipers so Bond does not have to worry about anything other than the antagonist who is hell-bent to destroy the world.

Lastly, Triumph have adopted the mysterious persona of James Bond and have refrained from revealing the pricing and availability of the limited Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition models.

So, if you are lucky to be chosen by the brand to own this one-of-a-kind Bond Edition racer, be prepared to shell out much more than the standard asking price of $20,950 or Rs. 17.25 Lakh.

For us mere mortals, we will accept a Quantum of Solace admiring the images of this beautiful Bond edition…
