At a digital event Yamaha has launched its R15 version 4 in India. The motorcycle comes with a completely new skin that is inspired by the bigger R7.
There is a single projector headlamp now (and like FZX, there is no glass cover) that is flanked by two eye-like aggressive looking DRLs on either sides. The R15 V4 also gets a new side fairing, along with an overall different design that makes it look bigger.
The big change is obviously the inclusion of golden colored Upside Down front forks that Yamaha intentionally missed for our market in the current version. It also gets traction control, quickshifter and Bluetooth connectivity.
The new R15 v4 is powered by the same liquid cooled 155cc, SOHC engine that produces 18.35 PS which is 0.25 PS lesser than the older variant. Max torque is 14.2 Nm.
There are three color options – Metallic Red, Dark Knight and Racing Blue and here are their respective prices.

The Blue color is placed fairly higher because it is the only one available with quickshifter as standard. This makes the new R15 about Rs 10,000 costlier than before.
