Honda CB300R BS6 launch date has been revealed through the festival schedule of India Bike Week which starts from tomorrow…
In the awful year that the 2020 was, the implementation of BS6 norms took many victims in its stride. One of the major victims was the Honda CB300R which was loved by so many of us.
The year 2021, is, however, bringing many small happy moments for us including the news that the BS6 version of the Honda CB300R is getting launched on the first day of Indian Bike Week (IBW) – 2021.
Indian Bike Week (IBW) – 2021 is taking place on the 4th and 5th of December at the Amby Valley near Lonavala, Maharashtra. In addition Honda will also launch the anniversary edition of the CB350 to celebrate the first year of sale of the bike.
The CB300R is expected to continue with the same 286 cc liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine but with Bharat Stage 6 compliance. In its BS4 form, the engine generated 30 BHP at 8000 RPM putting out 27.4 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. It is expected to be using a 6-speed transmission along with disc brakes at both front and rear wheel. Dual-Channel ABS will be given as standard.
Honda Announces War; More Mid-Size Bikes Coming Every Year
But the great news is that the updated CB300R may be locally manufactured and this should mean better retail prices. This was revealed by Y.S. Guleria, Director at Honda India, way back in March 2020. Read that report here.
As per SIAM sales data, there was a few unit-dealer dispatch of Honda CB300R apart from other hints in the recent months. However, no spy pics have surfaced so far that has kept the information on the model shielded. And, in fact, with just a day to go before the launch, there is no word from Honda on this officially!
