2021 Xtreme 200S price is fairly higher than its BS4 variant. We discuss all the details of the faired sportster including Hero’s change of strategy…
Hero Motocorp has just announced the launch of its premium motorcycle – Xtreme 200S in BS6 avatar. In the process, the bike now gets an oil-cooler, and a new color option – Pearl Fadeless White.
Additionally, the full faired Xtreme also comes with a complimentary Road-Side Assistance (RSA) for one year. This program provides 24×7 assistance to customers across the country. The benefits include, on-call support, repair on spot, tow to nearest Hero workshop, flat-tyre support, battery jump start, key retrieval support, accidental assistance (on demand), and fuel-delivery in case you run out of it.
In terms of features, it continues with twin-LED headlamp and LED tail-light; supports Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The motorcycle also comes with Auto-sail technology, that prevents the motorcycle from stalling while running at low speeds – most probably something like TVS’ GTT.
The 2021 Xtreme 200S continues to be powered by the same 199.6 cc, single cylinder, fuel-injected engine that you can also find on the Xpulse 200. The motor produces 18.08 hp of peak power at 8,500 rpm, and 16.4 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This means a reduction of power by 0.32 PS, and 0.7 Nm torque.
With all these changes, the BS6 Xtreme 200S has become heavier by 5.5 kg and weighs 154.5 kg now. The rest of the bike remains identical to the BS4 version.

Xtreme 200S Price
For all of this, Hero has priced the it at Rs 1,15,715 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which means an increment of over Rs 13,000. The bigger point to note, however, is that it is now placed as a more premium option against the Xpulse 200 – which was not the case earlier. Since these two appeal to different set of bikers, Hero probably does not expect any cannibalization.
