Japanese automaker – Suzuki has launched the Euro-5 (equivalent to BS6 emission norms) compliant V-Strom 650 XT in Australia. The bike is already listed on the Indian website with a “Coming Soon’ ticker, confirming that it will be introduced here as well.
Suzuki first showcased the updated V-Strom 650 XT at the Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi, along with the new Gixxer range, Access, and the Burgmann Street. While the rest of the vehicles are already on sale in India, the launch of the V-Strom 650 XT is yet to happen. Sources say that the reason of the delay is COVID-19.
However, now that the company has launched the motorcycle in Australia, we expect it to land on our shores as well, sooner than later.
The Australian version of the motorcycle comes with a 645 cc, V-twin engine that now produces 70.7 hp of peak power along with 62 Nm torque. These figures are slightly down as compared to its predecessor, which had power and torque figures of 71 hp and 62 Nm, respectively.
