BMW G310R BS6 launch is expected anytime soon and this is the first evidence of the same. We talk about the changes & details…
It was just a matter of time when we saw these. After TVS updated its Apache RR 310 to Bharat Stage 6 compliance earlier this year, we were waiting to hear from BMW on its corresponding 310 series. However, BMW ended the fiscal without announcing the new models which probably was to clear out its BS4 stocks (which were offered at heavy discounts). Now, till the G310s do not get BS6 compliant, BMW can not sell them here in India.
But the wait will not be very long it seems. The 2020 G310 siblings have been spotted testing on the roads. As you can see in the spy pics on this page, there is not much that has changed on the styling front. We can only notice the new headlamp which now comprises of an LED cluster inside. Rest of the set-up – golden colored upside down front forks, sleek tail, upright riding posture, alloy wheels etc, appears to have been carried over. The engine is now all black, including the crankcase cover.
The biggest change will obviously be on that 313 cc engine mostly on the emission front. Considering that there weren’t a lot of spec changes on the updated Apache, these new G310s may also continue to churn 34 PS of peak power and near 28 Nm of max torque. There may be minor changes to the rev band though.

However, the new Apache 310 now comes with segment first four riding modes. Will the baby BMW roadster follow suit? The launch can be expected anytime in the coming weeks/months.
