2019 Apache 160 price hike is different for both the variants…
Ahead of the upcoming 1st April 2019 deadline which will limit sales of motorcycle without ABS/CBS, TVS has officially launched the 2019 Apache 160. Apart from sporting ABS it also gets a few cosmetic changes as a part of the yearly refresh program.
2019 Apache 160 Changes
- It gets a single-channel ABS
- New back-lit speedometer with dial-art
- New seats (TVS has not cleared what is new – may be the texture is changed or it is better cushioned).
- New-look bar-end dampeners
Apart from this, the motorcycle also gets slightly revised graphics. There is an ‘ABS’ logo on the mudguard to denote the variant.
2019 Apache 160 Price
|Apache 160 ABS front disc||Rs 85,510|
|Apache 160 ABS front + rear disc||Rs 88,339|
For reference the non-ABS versions cost Rs 79,370 and Rs 81,699 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. This means that the price hike is Rs 6140 and Rs 6640 respectively between the two variants – a difference of Rs 500 between them! For reference, sibling Apache 160 4V ABS starts at a price tag of Rs 89,785 whereas the new Apache 180 (which now gets a single-channel ABS) has been priced at Rs 90,978
The smallest Apache continues to be powered by the same 159.7cc 2-valve engine which belts out 15.12 PS of peak power and 13.03 Nm of max torque. Braking is taken care of by 270 mm front petal disc and 200 mm petal disc (130mm drum for the cheaper variant).
The ABS-equipped motorcycles have reached dealerships and are already on sale.
