2013 MV Agusta Brutale Lineup Unveiled

The Italian bike maker, MV Agusta have prepared their plans for an exciting year ahead for enthusiasts as they showcased the 2013 line-up of their popular Brutale model recently- the Brutale 1090 (standard), 1090 R and 1090 RR. Although, they did not showcase much of their products at the INTERMOT 2012, where to the contrary its competitors were busy showcasing their own 2013 product line-up but I think the company had plans to grab attention in an individualistic way. Each model arrives with the inline four cylinder 1078cc powerplant, but two separate engine configurations are used for different horsepower and torque outputs. These naked sportbikes all feature similar styling, though some significant differences in the engine/chassis departments.

The 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 1090 model gets its same composite trellis frame attached to a single sided swingarm by 2 aluminum plates. The new models get improved suspension. All models receive a full-adjustable 50mm diameter inverted from fork, which is adjustable through external adjusters; one features compression adjustment, the other rebound. But both feature spring preload adjustments. The engine configurations also are tweaked among the siblings. Now, the 1090 standard and 1090 R arrive with 144 BHP at 10,300 RPM, and the 1090 RR with 158 BHP at 11,300 RPM. The company says that this configuration provides the best balance between efficiency and weight, as well as a characteristic of every MV Agusta.

All the bikes have both water and oil cooling with separate radiators and use a cassette-style removable six-speed constant mesh transmission and multi-plate clutch. The 1090 RR also comes with a slipper clutch. The exhaust receives new double silencers, diagonally cut for a more dragster type look. The Brutale 1090 models also received a new tail light for better illumination and a new rear view mirror. The 1090 R and 1090 RR have blinkers integrated within the mirrors and use LED rear blinkers.  The company has also released the complete technical specification of the bike.
